Employees of Holt Monument
Our Employees play a vital role in everything from helping to find the monument that is right for you, to helping people track down their family trees. There is such a large amount of detail, and care that each of them put into their jobs that they need some much deserved recognition.
L. Wayne Holt :
Wayne is the son of Lawrence Holt, and is the 3rd generation of Holt to run this family business. Though it might not look it when he sits behind his cluttered desk on the phone, he spends many an hour helping to get more monuments on order, keep customers happy, and to try and keep things running smoothly.
Carla Deckard:
Carla is usually the first person people will see when they enter Holt Monument. She is the secretary, and has her hands full making sure all of the male employees behave themsleves. Holt Monument would be in a pickle if the supervision of Carla was not present.
Blake Gilpin:
Blake has been an employee since he graduated high school. He took care of sand-blasting the monuments for many years, and has since moved up to the front sales room, where he will help people to find what stone is right for them. His muscle car collection, has turned many heads parked in the parking lot even if people were not looking for a monument.
Jerry Cobb:
Jerry Cobb has taken the sand-blasting room by storm. He likes to sand-blast so much, people come to him to blast car frames, iron lawn furniture and countless other treasures. But Jerry Cobb doesnt do this while at the monument shop, he takes this stuff home with him, so that he can always be near an air compressor and bag of sand.
James Weeks:
James Weeks is not seen inside the monument shop very often, he is the one that makes for certain the monuments are set in the cemetery, on the right plot of land, and that it abides by all the cemetery regulations. Rumor has it that James can not physically ever get mad, and is happiest when he has a plate full of meat, potato's and gravy.
DeWayne Weeks:
DeWayne is the son of James Weeks. He will ride in the setting-truck with his father. Once those two get their feet on the ground, they can mix cement with shovels and a wheelbarrow faster than any machine is capable of.
